The cigar concierge for casinos and high-limit gaming floors.

High-limit-room demand, regulatory compliance, and a service standard that doesn't tolerate out-of-stock. MDC runs a concierge-level cigar program for casinos ranging from regional gaming floors to Strip-grade resort properties - including longstanding work with Caesars Entertainment, Harrah's, Zia Park, Wind Creek, and Indiana Grand. Concierge attention, not a catalog.

Casino cigar service is its own discipline

A casino cigar program isn't retail with a higher price point. The volume is heavier, the service tempo is faster, the player demographic expects name-brand recognition on first glance, and the gaming-floor service standard means running out of a flagship SKU in front of a high-limit guest is not a recoverable mistake. The right wholesale cigar distributor for a casino floor isn't the one with the biggest catalog - it's the one who knows how a gaming operation actually runs and builds the humidor accordingly.

That's the gap MDC was built to close. We've spent fourteen years working with casino floors, casino-adjacent cigar lounges, and resort cigar bars in markets across the United States - from regional gaming properties to Strip-grade integrated resorts. The program we deliver looks different from what a generic cigar distributor ships because casinos have operational problems a catalog doesn't solve.

“Running out of a flagship SKU in front of a high-limit guest is not a recoverable mistake. Our casino programs are engineered around that one truth.”
- Peter Roth, Founder, MDC - Caesars / Harrah's / Wind Creek vendor

Three things casino floors need from a cigar distributor

Over the years we've boiled the casino cigar problem down to three recurring pain points. Every MDC casino account is built to solve all three:

  1. Depth on the names players ask for by memory. A casino's cigar humidor is not where you discover new blends. It's where you stock the brands your players already know - Padrón, Arturo Fuente, Ashton, Romeo y Julieta, Macanudo, Montecristo, Cohiba Red Dot, Liga Privada. Running out of any of them mid-shift is a player-loyalty event. Our opening inventory proposals over-index on depth of the top 20 SKUs before we layer breadth.
  2. Rotation discipline that survives 24/7 ops. Gaming floors don't close. Inventory turns happen in overnight rotations, not during business hours. We structure delivery cadence, humidification monitoring, and reorder triggers around the actual schedule of a casino ops team - not a 9-to-5 retail store. Night shift managers shouldn't have to chase distributors. They shouldn't have to chase anything.
  3. Compliance you don't have to think about. Casinos operate under gaming- commission oversight plus federal and state tobacco regulation. MDC delivers tax-paid inventory with clean documentation, tracks state-by-state compliance automatically, and handles the paperwork so your compliance director isn't chasing a cigar invoice on top of everything else.
The Gaming Floor Leak

If any of these have happened on your floor, there's fixable money walking past the humidor.

01

You ran out of a flagship SKU on a Saturday night.

That's not a logistics problem - that's a player-loyalty event. Every casino cigar program we've rebuilt started with at least one of these, and every one of them was traceable to distributor-side rotation discipline, not bad luck.

02

Your high-limit room carries the same inventory as the main bar.

High-limit players expect depth on Padrón Anniversary, Liga Privada, Ashton ESG. Putting the main-floor Macanudo rotation in front of a $500/seat whale signals you don't know who you're serving.

03

Your cigar vendor treats you like a regional liquor store.

Gaming floors don't close. A distributor who calls back on Monday morning for a Friday night out-of-stock is a distributor who doesn't understand casino ops. Your cigar partner should operate at your tempo.

04

Your staff can't name the top 5 Padróns when asked.

Training is the single fastest lever for casino cigar revenue. Guests at the high-limit table will ask. If your cigar host says "let me find someone," you've lost that sale and you've taught that guest to buy elsewhere next trip.

Every one of these is a program-design problem, not a guest-quality problem. And every one of them is fixable in the first 30 days.

The Complete Casino Program

What a casino cigar account with MDC includes

Curated core rotation

The 30–45 SKUs your players actually want, picked for your gaming demographic. Padrón core line, Arturo Fuente (Hemingway, Don Carlos), Ashton, Liga Privada, Macanudo, Romeo y Julieta, Montecristo, Oliva Serie V, Rocky Patel. No catalog-dumping.

High-limit-room depth

Premium-tier inventory sized to the high-limit-room footprint. Cigar service at the high-limit table requires deeper depth on fewer SKUs - we build accordingly.

Dedicated cigar lounge inventory

Walk-in lounges and members-only smoking rooms. Depth-heavy SKU coverage for the destination cigar customer, humidor-calibration guidance, and menu structure.

On-site staff training

For national casino clients we come on-site. Cigar cut, light, recommendation script, upsell flow, and a behind-the-counter quick-reference card. Included with every account.

No-risk exchange

Anything that doesn't move comes back. See how the exchange works. Critical when testing new SKUs without committing capital to dead inventory.

Strategic menu design

Casino cigar menus designed for the player at the table - tier structure, pricing, and presentation that drives margin without overwhelming the guest.

The three-tier casino humidor

Every casino humidor we build has three tiers, structured around the actual spend pattern of a gaming floor. Most floors try to skip a tier and regret it. The right distribution looks like this:

Tier 1 - The volume floor (50% of inventory, ~40% of SKUs)

Macanudo, Romeo y Julieta, Cohiba Red Dot, Ashton Classic, Montecristo, Arturo Fuente core Gran Reserva line. Widely-recognized names at the $8–$14 stick range. This is the tier that pays for the rest of the humidor and keeps the service tempo fast for guests who don't want to deliberate over a menu. Depth beats breadth here.

Tier 2 - The upgrade shelf (35% of inventory, ~40% of SKUs)

Padrón core line, Arturo Fuente Hemingway, Ashton Cabinet Selection, Rocky Patel Decade, Oliva Serie V, My Father Le Bijou, Liga Privada Undercrown. $14–$22 stick range. This is where the margin math gets interesting and where a trained cigar host earns their commission by reading the guest and moving them up-tier.

Tier 3 - The signature inventory (15% of inventory, ~20% of SKUs)

Liga Privada No. 9 and T52, Ashton VSG and ESG, Padrón Anniversary line, Fuente Don Carlos, select boutique releases. $22–$40+ stick range. Lower volume, higher margin per unit, and the tier that separates a real casino cigar program from a gift-shop humidor. Supply can be uneven on the most sought-after SKUs - we manage that conversation honestly rather than promising allocation we can't guarantee.

Casino starter inventories - sizing by property type

Sizing depends on the gaming floor profile, visitor volume, and whether you're running a dedicated cigar lounge or a cigar service integrated into the high-limit room. From the opening inventory framework:

  • Regional casino, cigar service only: 1,000–2,000 cigars across 25–35 SKUs. Sufficient for a gaming floor with walk-up cigar service at the bar or a small locked humidor display.
  • Regional casino with dedicated lounge: 2,500–4,000 cigars across 35–50 SKUs. Adds the dedicated-lounge depth without overreaching into high-end inventory until usage patterns are established.
  • Destination casino resort: 3,000–6,000+ cigars across 40–60 SKUs. Full three-tier structure, cigar lounge, high-limit service, and visible retail humidor in at least one hotel bar.
  • Strip-grade integrated resort: 6,000+ cigars, 60+ SKUs, multiple service points. Requires a standing rep relationship and weekly rotation review.

Every number above assumes tax-paid inventory, climate-calibrated humidor infrastructure, and a trained cigar-service team. We'll build a proposed inventory specific to your property size, demographic, and floor profile within 2–3 business days of your discovery call.

Regional casino specialists

Casino cigar distribution has geography built into it. State tobacco regulations vary significantly, and the player demographic in an Indiana riverboat is different from the player demographic on the Las Vegas Strip. MDC has dedicated pages for the two highest- volume gaming regions we serve:

What "trusted by Caesars Entertainment" actually means

Caesars is a holding company with properties across multiple states and a corporate vendor-approval process that every distributor has to pass through. Being trusted by Caesars means MDC cleared their vendor compliance, we're on the approved-supplier list for qualifying properties, and we've been on it long enough for the relationship to mean something. It doesn't mean every Caesars property buys from us automatically - property-level purchasing is its own decision tree. What it does mean: if you run a Caesars-affiliated property, opening an account with MDC is a shorter process than starting with a distributor who isn't on the list.

The same principle applies to our other named casino clients - Harrah's properties, Zia Park, Indiana Grand, Wind Creek. The relationships were earned one property at a time, and they're how new casino clients evaluate us: "if they've been running service at [X] for that long, they'll probably be fine for us." They usually are.

The Casino Guarantee

Your floor will never run out of a flagship SKU because of us.

Every MDC casino account is backed by proactive rotation + no-risk exchange. If a SKU doesn't move on your floor, we take it back and rotate you into something that will. And if a flagship you need goes on allocation from the factory, we tell you honestly before your ops team finds out from a player. That's the only way a casino cigar program can run at the service standard a gaming floor demands.

Cost of Waiting

Most gaming floors running a catalog-driven cigar program leave $60-200K/year on the table. The difference between a program and a prop is measured in six figures annually.
