Why are the same cigars cheaper here than at a cigar shop?
Because you are buying one level up the supply chain. Cigar shops buy from distributors like MDC and mark up 1.8x-2.5x to cover rent and staff, which is fair - but nothing requires you to pay for their rent. The catalog here sells at the distribution level, by the box.
Are cheap cigars for sale online actually good?
Some are excellent, and the trick is knowing which cheap is which. A $4 stick from a respected factory (a bundle line, a value second) can smoke beautifully. A $2 gas-station cigar cannot.
