L'Atelier Imports was founded in 2012 by Tatuaje's Pete Johnson and partners, with production at the My Father factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. MDC distributes the Original, La Mission, and Surrogates lines to hospitality and retail partners nationwide.
L'Atelier is a boutique with real pedigree: the same people and the same Estelí factory behind some of the most respected cigars in the business. The Original line and La Mission are serious, refined Nicaraguan blends - and then Surrogates flips the script with irreverent names like Bone Crusher and Tramp Stamp at a friendlier price. One brand, two moods, one standard of construction.
